Mr. Ikeda has passed on his revered knowledge of cartridge building over to IT Industries, who now hand-make each phono cartridge. For over 50 years he has applied his knowledge and craftsmanship to his wonderful cartridges and tonearms, first with Fidelity Research Co. and now with Ikeda Sound Labs of which he is founder and president. That torch has now been passed to IT industries who will carry on the tradition.
Ikeda SAI
The "SAI", is the uncompromising advancement of the legendary "9MUSAM" with completely brand new pickup system. Engineers from IKEDA succeeded to transfer the tonal qualities of the 9MUSAM without compromising. The output voltage could be increased through further development in the area of the coil drive to 0, a channel equal 0, 5dB 30mV! The cantilever consists of "Boron" and the diamond is "Micro-Ridge."

Tonally it has the same musicality as the other MC cartridges in the "9"-family. No compromises are made also during processing. The 9TS 0, 35mV is about twice as high output voltage compared to the 9TT so that it can be operated without any problems on cheaper phono preamps.
